Things that are important to me and things that are not

I used to be a real stickler about using title case text in my blog title line.

Now it doesn’t keep me up at night.

I used to try to promote green awareness.

Now i tire of promoting the “green bubble”

I used to really want my opinion heard too.

Now i gauge whether or not it’s worth the effort it takes to actually open my mouth and use my lungs.

I used to care to archive every single last thing that i thought i might want to see/use later.

Now the internet (and the forthcoming “grid”) are changing the way i think about “ownership” and challenging some of my most fundamental instincts.

Information overload. My ways of thinking are going to have to change if i am to survive this transition without running myself completely insane.

Time for a vin diesel break…

Interesting the things we slough-off as we get older….is it the lack of these same characteristics later in life that transforms us into the people we now loathe? OR does it make us wiser to the world we live in so that we may more effectively and efficiently influence those around us, so as not to waste that lung power you speak of?

    You rock dood

    LOL

I love it that voicing your opinion is not important but that Vin Diesel is an anagram for ‘I END LIVES’ is.

I think I’ve been a bad influence on you!

I think we’ve made a lot of similar changes (concessions?) in our lives.

I used to be a Grammar Nazi. Now I’m just a Grammar Mountie.

Vin Diesel is highly important to me. It is important that I rub truffled olive oil on his bald noggin’ while he tells me about his D&D characters.

I was just shocked you dared use his whole name! Doesn’t he show up like Candyman and go all berzerker if you say his name three times?

Wait, that might work out to my benefit….

Triple X and the X-men, oh boy! If Vin Diesel and Wolverine appeared together in any one spot, I think my head might implode from the sudden evacuation of all blood. Because it would be rushing to my giant space penis.

    Wow, OCD to the max…

And I thought *I* was bad what with my avoiding cracks AND the imaginary cracks that radiate out from corners, equidistant from both edges that form said corners.

But the rule is, if I can get the crack to be perfectly centered under the arch of my foot, it’s okay to step on it because I have high arches.
[I invented that rule prior to wearing shoes on a regular basis (I've been doing this for a LONG time)]

I hate to admit it, but I’m kinda with Pablo on this one–I extend cracks & try not to step on them, too. Still. To this day.

linoleum and tiles smaller than my foot
the only exception to not stepping on cracks…
and i try to either walk as evenly as possible or in the fashion of a chess knight when that isn’t possible…
and i stop walking on a multiple of 3 so that my feet get even access to having the first step…

i could probably get a lot more things done in my life if i weren’t constantly in one way or another counting to multiples of 3…

You know, my mom’s been dead and cremated for 15 years…. so, no back to crack… I still avoid the cracks in the sidewalk… until I realize it doesn’t matter anymore… and then I step on them with VIGOR!!!

    And Bo… I don’t want babies either… so we’ll say ‘future ex-husband’.
