Escape From My House

Jan 28, 2008   //   by SeventhSwami   //   Blog, Uncategorized  //  1 Comment

Well I just finished a week-long bout with the flu… i have never slept so much in my entire life…

Unfortunately i still have that lingering chest congestion that will likely haunt me for the next 3 weeks. =(

And sadly I had to cancel my own bbq… which was lame… I’m glad everyone else got to celebrate mike’s birthday instead and I hope y’all had fun.

In the mean time, all the clothes i own except for the ones i’m wearing are clean and on their hangers. I have saved a weeks worth of money. I have cleaned my room to the point of ridiculous. And my bed is all made. Oh and I think i quit smoking.

I always say… every time you get the flu is another chance to quit smoking… and this time it really worked out. I have lost all cravings and have no problem saying no to peer pressure right now. I’ve also developed a nice habit of drinking lots of water and taking lots of vitamins over the past week! Woohoo! Every dark cloud has a silver lining, as they say… let’s see if I can keep it up!

Imagining the 10th Dimension

www.youtube.com/watch

This is a really killer video presentation that helps you understand higher physical dimensions… kind of like the book “Flatland” but this one goes up to the 10th dimension wheras Flatland focused on 4, and only gave you a taste of 5 and 6 at the end.

Thanks to Djeeno for telling me about this one…

It seems kind of clear to me that when we dream, we are experiencing a broader range of dimensional reality than we do while awake… I also tend to think that we only shut this stuff out because we don’t need it to survive in this collective social creation that we inhabit.

Everyone has had moments where they’ve fallen asleep for only a few minutes but dreamed seemingly hours of dreams… Everybody has had bizarre other-worldly dreams that seemed almost like alternate realities… a lot of times these dreams come with whole new sets of memories for this other life you just jumped into.

Once i fell asleep and found myself in the middle of a prehistoric foot-race of some kind… i was stuck in a pit and all these people in tribal clothes were running and jumping over the thing… and suddenly all this memory came flooding in… i remembered the reasons why i was involved in this race… i knew that i had hit my head when i fell in this pit and had been knocked out for a minute. I remember all the drama between family and peers that I had experienced during the week leading up to this race.

What if i was dead? Would i enter a dreamlike state and never wake up from it? Would i enter some reality and inherit all the memories of that life and simply pick up from there?

I believe that, when you dream, you are meandering through higher dimensions and exploring cross-sections of infite possibilities… i think that sometimes you can gain a little control and you can focus on one reality for a lot longer… hence vivid and profound other-world experiences… And I think that this 10-dimensional model that the physics world has come to embrace explains this… i think this video illustrates this very clearly.

How can we experience lifetimes of memory in the blink of an eye? Because in higher dimensions, infinite realities can be experienced as a single point.

We know that if we are not allowed to dream, we go crazy or die… I think this is because we HAVE to return to our higher dimensional selves… there is a natural rhythm here… we zoom in on the multiverse and focus on one point of perspective… on consciousness…. like learning to focus on a stereogram… then at night our soul “exhales” and pulls back from focus, allowing us to stretch our spiritual legs and “recharge”… then we take a deep breath and dive right back in when we wake up.

Breathe in… Breathe out… Breathe in… Breathe out… just like everything else in our universe.

Hawk Pics

Jan 14, 2008   //   by SeventhSwami   //   Blog, Uncategorized  //  1 Comment

One of my bestest friends, Joe (you may know him as Twirling Penis of Death or simply TPOD… as in “i”m a little TPOD, short and stout…) has recently decided to get certified in the sport of falconry.

Falconry:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falconry

There are very few certified Falconers in the united states… i think less than 20 right now. To get certified you have to take extensive tests and an inspector has to come by your house to check out your habitat and your bird-paraphenelia to ensure that you are responsible and legit.

I have never known Joe to do anything half-assed… Him and I were THE datsun mechanics/enthusiasts of Sacramento for almost a decade and I learned how to be surgical about engine building from Joe. He taught me the art of “do it right or don’t do it at all.”… After he got bored w/ cars, he got into long boarding… then dirt biking… then computers… (now he works in the IT lab here at my job)… and now this. When the inspector came by he told Joe “you should build this equipment for a living.”

Hawks are more popular in this sport than falcons because they are more readily available. The bird use distinctly different hunting styles and are never “tame.” Birds of prey can and will leave you at a moment’s notice… nearly all of these birds will eventually never come back one day when taken on a hunt… This makes the sport extremely interesting and special to me because this majestic creature CHOOSES to partner up with you… He/she is never a captive and “training” is more akin to “acclimating.”

You cannot buy a falcon or a hawk. You must trap your own to begin and then hope you develop a synergy…. As you can see from the above pic, Joe was successful at obtaining his first hawk this weekend.

Big props, son… Keep sending me these pics!
