Aww
Heartfelt wishes, mate. My family's first dog, Hopper, took the long sleep under similar circumstances a couple years back. There was a barbeque in her honor (she loved barbeques as my pop always grilled up something just for her) and she had a steak, family friends stopped by, and the vet made a house call after all the meat had been et and the wine had been drunk.

If you can have the vet make a house call, I think it would be much nicer than having to take Padooey in to the office.

I am sorry for your loss, Swami. I am a BIG cat lover and grew up with two as siblings. :)
A cat who nurtures new smaller ctas is very rare... how special your kitty must have been. I am glad her life was so long and luxurious.

Love and Hugs,

Oh, that's amazing. Such a long life for a kitty! And he obviously had the flyest family a cat could dream for. I know how sad it is to lose a pet (especially a kitty - they seem immortal), but I'm glad that you know it's coming so you can enjoy every last moment with him.

i hate animal eulogies :'(
because i can't stand it when a pet dies. i can't help but get all teary-eyed. its why i can't watch animal ER on animal planet. in some ways pets share intimacy with us that no person can touch. anyway my sympathies, and may the memory of your friend long sustain you.
